Four Funding Opportunities for Aboriginal Organisations in WA

Country holds our stories. Stories we are still rediscovering, like the tools and ceremonial stones uncovered in Murujuga Sea Country and rock art on Martu Country. Protecting our cultural heritage and protecting Country is an ongoing challenge that demands a lot of resources. People, time and technology. 

To support Aboriginal organisations in Western Australia, we’ve shortlisted four grants that are currently open, which can fund our Mob in this vital work.

1. Prescribed Bodies Corporate (PBC) Capacity Building Grant Opportunity

Who’s this grant for? 

Any Registered Native Title Body Corporate, Prescribed Body Corporate, Native Title Representative Body, Traditional Owner Corporation or a Traditional Owner Group Entity.

Purpose

Increase the capacity of PBCs and take advantage of economic opportunities, build long-term organisational capacity within PBCs through training and obtaining professional expertise and support effective native title agreement-making.

How much funding is available?

No maximum given.

30th June 2026

2. Collie Futures Small Grants Program

Who’s this grant for?

Businesses and Not-For-Profit organisations.

Purpose

For organisations looking to invest in Collie and support projects that provide an economic benefit to the Collie region (50 km radius from the Collie CBD). 

How much funding is available?

Up to $100 000

Deadline

Applications can be submitted any time while funding is available.

3. Regional Aboriginal Arts Development - Category Business Development and Capacity Building

Who’s this grant for?

Cultural organisations as well as artists, storytellers, writers and performers based in regional and remote WA.

Purpose

To develop the capacity and sustainability of Aboriginal arts, cultural organisations and creative businesses in regional WA. Grant funding can be used for the development of strategic plans, research and development, skills training and more.

How much funding is available?

Up to $50 000

7th May 2026

4. First Nations Clean Energy Advice Grants

Who’s this grant for?

Indigenous Corporations, Indigenous land management organisations, registered land councils, not-for-profit associations and cooperatives.

Purpose
To support First Nations communities participate in clean energy development, building clean energy project skills and knowledge, accessing technical and professional support, legal advice, renewable resource mapping and community benefit agreements.

How much funding is available?

$5000 - $80 0000

Deadline

3rd September 2026. However, applications may close early if funding is fully allocated.
