About this Position


We’re looking for a GIS Analyst to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions that support Indigenous land management, cultural heritage, and environmental projects. You’ll use your technical expertise to analyse and visualise spatial data, create digital maps, and contribute to meaningful outcomes for Country and community.

What You’ll Do

  • Process, analyse, and manage spatial data to meet client needs

  • Build maps, apps, and visualisations using ESRI, QGIS, and related tools

  • Collaborate with Indigenous organisations and partners across Australia

  • Contribute to digital innovation and uphold cultural and data sovereignty principles

Location: Perth, WA

Salary Classification: Level 3

Employment Type: 1.0 FTE (Full Time)


Selection Criteria

  • Degree in spatial science, information systems, or equivalent experience.

  • 3–5 years’ experience in GIS or related field.

  • Skilled in ESRI, QGIS, and data management.

  • Strong communicator with cultural awareness and a collaborative mindset.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication; ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.

  • Passion for Indigenous outcomes, education, and governance.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with Google platforms, drone technology, or cloud-based programs (e.g., AWS).

  • Knowledge of the education, technology, or environmental sector from a First Nations perspective.

  • Flexibility for remote work and travel where applicable.
