About this Position


We’re seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to lead the delivery of complex spatial projects, mentor junior team members, and shape best practice in a mission-driven organisation. You’ll work closely with Prescribed Bodies Corporate (PBCs), Native Title, and Aboriginal Heritage Groups to ensure culturally respectful and technically excellent outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver advanced geospatial solutions using ESRI, QGIS, FME, and related tools

  • Manage end-to-end projects, from data capture to visualisation and delivery

  • Lead meetings, manage timelines, and strengthen client relationships

  • Mentor GIS Analysts and support continuous improvement across the team

  • Champion Indigenous data sovereignty and cultural safety in all project work

Line Manager: Service Delivery Manager

Location: Perth, WA (with occasional regional and remote travel)

Salary Classification: Level 4

Employment Type: 1.0 FTE (Full Time)


Selection Criteria

  • Degree in spatial science, information systems, or equivalent experience.

  • 5–8 years of professional GIS experience.

  • Strong project management and client engagement skills.

  • Proven leadership in data analysis, mapping, and problem-solving.

  • Culturally aware and passionate about empowering Indigenous communities

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with Google platforms, drone technology, or cloud-based programs (e.g., AWS).

  • Knowledge of the education, technology, or environmental sector from a First Nations perspective.

  • Flexibility for remote work and travel where applicable.
